Organised to support and showcase the exceptional quality food and drink being produced locally, five of Booths’ suppliers will be offering free tastings of more than 12 products at the Lytham store, in addition to a pop up Booths bar in the foyer serving drinks tastings.

Samples range from indulgent frozen desserts for the sweet toothed from family bakers Lathams of Broughton to vegetable crisps handmade from root vegetables which have been grown by Huntapac in Tarleton for over 70 years.

There’ll be tomatoes grown by Croftpak Nurseries in Hesketh Bank who have been supplying fruit and vegetables to Booths for over 25 years.

The famed Mrs Kirkham herself will be serving up samples of her traditional Lancashire and smoked creamy Lancashire cheeses, and to wash it all down, Lancaster Brewery will be pouring a selection of bottled beers.

Booths will also be offering tastings of hand-made artisan cakes and breads produced a little further afield by Bells of Lazonby.

Dan Brayfield, Assistant Store Manager at Lytham Booths, explains; “At Booths we pride ourselves on the quality of our food and drink and we’ve worked hard to develop long, strong relationships with the best local suppliers. There’s no better way to share the story behind the food on our shelves than by inviting the people who produce it into store to meet customers at a special one-off tasting event. We hope many people will come along and whet their appetite”.

Customers can enter a free prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a raffle prize donated by Booths suppliers.
