First look at exciting new bar at Fylde coast sports hub in Garstang
“This has never just been about bricks and mortar. It’s about building something special for our community. A place where friendships are made, families come together, memories are created and future generations can thrive.”
A first look inside Garstang Community Sports’ newly refurbished clubhouse has been revealed ahead of its grand opening tomorrow evening.
Works to the changing rooms and sports facilities were completed earlier this year in what was the first phase of regeneration to the club. Now, phase two has also been completed after the full refurbishment of the existing clubhouse was finished earlier this month.
It was revealed over the summer that the rugby and football clubhouse would be rebranded as ‘Riverside Tap House’ and let out as an independent business, rather than being run by the club itself. Riverside will be officially launched tomorrow, Friday 16 October, remaining open across the weekend with live sports and entertainment on offer.

“Behind this incredible achievement is a committee that has worked tirelessly, giving up evenings, weekends and countless hours of their own time to turn a vision into reality.” a spokesperson from Garstang Community Sports Hub told the Gazette. “Alongside them, the amazing team behind the Riverside have helped bring this fantastic new space to life.
“This has never just been about bricks and mortar. It’s about building something special for our community. A place where friendships are made, families come together, memories are created and future generations can thrive.
“To every single person who has played a part, supported us, sponsored us or believed in the dream, thank you. We should all be incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. This is more than a Sports club, this is our community, and we’re only getting started!”
