Firework displays to light up the sky!

Light up the sparklers, crack open the toffee - Bonfire Night extravaganzas are back.

A host of spectacular firework displays will light up the Fylde skies tomorrow night and later this week.

This year’s Blackpool Cricket Club firework fiesta hosts a 25-minute display tomorrow night with the huge bonfire to be lit starting at 7pm followed by the fireworks display.

Tickets are available behind the cricket club bar, priced at £3 for singles and £10 for family tickets.

Lytham Round Table hosts its 42nd spectacular fireworks display, at Fylde Rugby Club in Ansdell, where the main display will begin at 7.30pm.

A funfair, including food and drink stalls, will be on site for all the family to enjoy.

David Barley, of Lytham Round Table, said: “Our Tablers are gearing up to make sure visitors are kept safe and entertained from start to finish.

“Our previous firework displays have helped raise much-needed funds for local charities and we are keen to continue to show our support.”

Fleetwood’s fireworks start at 7:30pm with live music at 6pm from popular Fylde coast bands Belvadere and The Jeps with a samba act performance by Poco Loco.

A comedy twist to the evening’s events will be hosted by the Bread and Butter Theatre Company in cunning disguises and an appearance from Musical Ruth, the nun with a magical mobile piano.

Gates open at 5:30pm at Marine Hall Gardens, it is a free event - but donations are welcome.

A display has also been set up at Poulton Rotary Club, gates open at 6:30pm with an appearance from the Blue Pig Orchestra.

And if one night is not enough, St Annes Cricket Club hosts its fireworks on Friday with a funfair, food and drink. It costs £2 for singles and £5 family tickets, doors open at 4pm and fireworks begin at 7:30pm.
