Firefighters rush to building fire after it threatened to spread to the roof

Two fire engines rushed to a fire at an industrial building in Blackpool saw two fire engines after it threatened to spread to the roof.

The incident was at a building on Palmer Avenue at 9.05am this morning and the fire involved a ducting flume used in an industrial process.

When two fire crews from South Shore and Blackpool arrived at the scene there was a fear that the fire could spread to the roof. Firefighters used one hose reel and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

Lancashire Fire Service says there were no injuries and the premises was evacuated whilst fire crews were at the scene.
