Fire started on playing fields
Fire crews were called to tackle a bonfire which had been lit on playing fields.
The incident happened at around 11pm on Saturday at the King George’s Playing Fields in Thornton.
One fire appliance attended the scene which crew members found difficult to access due to its location.
The fire, set using dry branches, had been left to burn and was close to dry hedges and grassland.
