Fire crews in hour-long battle with kitchen blaze at Blackpool home

Three fire engines from Blackpool and Bispham attended the scene in Leavesley Road at around 3.40pm.

Firefighters equipped with four breathing apparatus used one hose reel to douse the flames.

A ventilation unit was then used to clear the property of smoke.

No casualties were reported, the fire service said, and they were in attendance for around one hour.
