Family-owned Blackpool hotel has been sold

The Bedford Hotel at 298-300 Promenade has been bought by a London property company Club 171 Ltd.

The family which owned it before said it was the right time to sell.

Former owner Ron Adams, said: “My family has run this business for more than 50 years with my mum and dad building a very sound business for me and my brother to take over.

“It has given us many happy years, but now is the time to hand over the reins”.

The Bedford has 42 en-suite bedrooms, a 70-cover lounge bar, and dining room catering for 100. Lesley Watmough from agents Fleurets’ Manchester office said: “The hotel has a great location on the promenade.”
