Essex boy Joey to sign books for shoppers

A Fylde town is about to get a touch of Essex as television star Joey Essex stops by for a visit.

Joey, famous for appearing in The Only Way Is Essex and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, will sign copies of his autobiography “Being Reem” at Silverdell Bookshop in Kirkham next month.

Silverdell boss Elaine Silverwood said: “I think that this will be a really good event that will have the people of Kirkham jumping up and down with excitement.

“I’m so chuffed we were able to secure him.”

Joey, whose catchphrase is “reem” to describe something or someone looking nice, will also be able to sample some of Silverdell’s specially-made ice-cream.

Elaine is keeping tight-lipped about the flavour, but says it might feature an orange theme to reflect Joey’s Essex tan.

She added: “Thinking about people’s reaction about Joey coming to town makes me smile.

“I’m really looking forward to his visit.”

Joey will be at Silverdell, on Poulton Street, on Wednesday May 28 from 6pm to 8pm.
