932 properties left without electricity after power cut hits homes in Cleveleys

Electricity North West said 923 customers have been left without electricity after losing power at around 12.42pm today (April 21).

The power cut has affected homes near North Promenade in Cleveleys.

The incident has been caused by an "unexpected problem" with the underground electricity cables.

Power is expected to be restored by 2.20pm.

A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: "We are aware of a fault in Thornton-Cleveleys, our teams are currently en-route to site to start repairs to the network.

"We will keep you updated at this time."
