Elderly pair escape serious harm in crash
Firefighters had to cut an elderly couple out of a car following a crash in St Annes.
The pair were involved in a crash between the bronze Mini Cooper they were travelling in and a bronze Kia Sportage being driven by a 36-year-old woman, police said.
Two crews from St Annes Fire Station were called to Heyhouses Lane, at the junction with Smithy Lane, at around 10.35am on Sunday.
The pair were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for a check-up.
