“He was heading towards Warton on Bryning Lane behind a black BMW which slowed down to let a mother duck and her eight very small ducklings cross the road. When suddenly the BMW, having clearly seen the birds crossing, floored it, killing the mother duck and breaking one of the duckling’s legs.”
The ducklings then scattered into the hedge with seven kindhearted neighbours out hunting for them with torches.
Thankfully after 20 minutes or so all eight ducklings were found and placed safely in a box.

“They would never anticipate a driver choosing to suddenly accelerate, such a driver would have little time to react, and we would have a far more tragic outcome.”
