His death will now be the subject of a coroner’s investigation with a possible drug overdose among the lines of inquiry.

Mr Robinson was on the wanted list after breaching the terms of a supervision order imposed after his release from prison.

Blackpool Magistrates had issued a warrant for the arrest of Robinson earlier this week following an application by the probation service.

The seven men and three women were released by police after a day in custody.

They were aged between 37 and 60 years old.

The building, at the junction with Grosvenor Street, had a number of drug users living there, a police source said.

One man in the street said: “There’s always trouble there; the police are forever there.

“They hang out the windows and climb out. It’s been going on for more than a year.

“The street is generally OK though.”
