DJ helps children to beat the bullies
Norry Ashcroft, better known as DJ and presenter Lionel Vinyl, has been visiting secondary schools in Blackpool, Bispham and Fleetwood, to talk to teenagers about bullying and how to tackle it.
Now the entertainer is set to host an event at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool, to talk to parents about the issue, too.

Hide AdThe evening, on Tuesday, November 11, will offer information and anecdotes to families on how to deal with, prevent and minimise the impact of bullying.
The father-of-two, who is a qualified mentor, said: “I’ve always done personal development coaching, but I was sick of seeing in the media about another young person taking their own life through bullying.
“Bullying has always been around, it always will be, sadly, but now with the advent of social media there’s more.
“Studies show self-esteem drops massively in secondary school so that’s when to target working with young people.

Hide Ad“I talk to young people about why bullies do what they do, to take that power away from them.
“This information will really help people.”
The event comes ahead of the national anti-bullying week, from November 17-21.
Mr Ashcroft has already talked to pupils at Unity Academy in North Shore, Aspire Academy in Bispham, and Fleetwood High School.
