A record number of entries were received for this year’s awards with businesswomen facing tough questions and having to perform a presentation at the judging stage.

Organiser Coral Horn, who also runs Squires Gate-based networking group Pink Link Ladies, admitted the public vote could play a key factor.

She said: “The judging stages were extremely close, this is by far the strongest set of awards finalists we’ve had. The voting stage can ultimately decide the winner, particularly when the judges’ scores are so close, I urge everybody to visit our website and cast their vote, as it also means so much to everybody involved.”

More than 600 are expected at this year’s awards, which are sponsored by NatWest, at the Winter Gardens on September 29. Vote at www.enterprisevisionawards.co.uk before then end of play September 8.
