CBeebies’ most intrepid ocean explorers are inviting younger children and their families on a mission to become honorary recruits of the Octonauts crew – and go on a journey of discovery.

Recruits can follow a trail to find eight mission code letters and claim a special certificate.

Meet Shellington and the Octonauts in a Sea Life exclusive ‘meet and greet’ and navigate the oceans to discover where many species of sharks can be found.

Post-mission, all honorary Octonauts are encouraged to find out about Sea Life’s many conservation programmes and other creatures of the seas, including Lulu the giant sea turtle, stingrays and sea horses.

Shark Mission runs at Sea Life Blackpool until July 15 and is included in the usual admission price, with family tickets starting at £13.

Sea Life Blackpool also features a new Turtle Rescue area where guests are encouraged to become a turtle care expert as they travel on an interactive journey to understand what is involved in successfully rehabilitating a turtle.
