Daughters find woman who held terror attack victim Jane Tweddle's hand after explosion

Two daughters of Manchester Arena terror attack victim Jane Tweddle appeared on ITV's Lorraine, where they found out who held their mums hand as she lay dying.

Harriet and Isabelle Taylor went on ITV’s Lorraine to launch an appeal to find a policewoman who helped the 51-year-old South Shore Academy receptionist.

But they were told staff working on the show had already tracked her down.

“It was hard knowing she could have been alone,” Harriet said. “We found out there was a young policewoman that was there, which gave us comfort.”

Moments later, the pair were visibly moved as presenter Lorraine Kelly told them the officer had been tracked down, though she did ‘not feel ready’ to go in front of cameras.

“She wants to talk to you later,” Lorraine said. “Obviously we’ll put you in touch with her.”

In a letter read out on air, PC Jessica Bullough said: “Jane sounded like an amazing, wonderful, fun-loving lady, who would be so proud of you girls right now.

“I believe you have been trying to find me for the last few months. I have also in the last few months thought about Jane and her family, with hope of finding you and meeting you on day.”

Jane was one on 22 people killed in May’s attack, which came at the end of US pop singer Ariana Grande’s concert.
