Dancing with Dementia returns

People with dementia and their carers are invited to come along to the annual Dancing with Dementia event on Wednesday June 14.

The event is set returning for the fourth year running and will take place at the p Empress Ballroom in the Winter Gardens from 11am to 4pm.

As well as entertainment, information will be available on the day about dementia services and support as well as details on how to become part of the official Dementia Friends campaign.

Dr Arif Rajpura, Blackpool Council’s director of Public Health said: “As always, we hope that people living with dementia, as well as families and carers can take advantage of the range of support services available at this event in the magnificent Empress Ballroom.

“From navigating health and social care to accessing local information, it’s important that people know how to access the appropriate support.

“The event is open to all members of the public as we want to discuss how to improve the lives of carers and people with dementia as well as involving the wider community to raise awareness.”
