The Fab Four were yet to become a national phenomenon in Britain when they played at the venue in 1962.

John Lennon was no stranger to Fleetwood as his uncle, Stanley Park, lived in the town at one stage and the musician visited him there.

But when the band performed to Fleetwood music fans, the punters were not too impressed - and wanted to hear local heroes such as The Zeroes, who were on the same bill.
