Wanted sex offender is arrested in Blackpool town centre

Peter Swan, 64, also known as Pat Holland, has been arrested on suspicion of breaching the terms of his sex offender notification requirements.

Police had issued a public appeal on Tuesday (July 21) to establish his whereabouts after he failed to return to his registered address.

By failing to notify police of his current location and living arrangements, Swan is suspected of breaching the mandatory notification requirements that he has been ordered to follow since his conviction for indecent assault in 2001.

He was spotted by officers in the town centre this morning and placed under arrest.
