Thieves smash toilet cash boxes and steal cash in Knott End

Toilet cash boxes at a Wyre car park have been broken into and had cash stolen by thieves.

The cash boxes have been broken into on Quaile Holme Road car park in Knott End, which is owned and maintained by Wyre Council.

Wyre Police are asking for help from residents in tracking down the thieves who targeted the machines at the 147-space car park.

The incident has happened between 4pm on Thursday, November 12 and 10am on Friday, November 13.

PCSO James Monaghan of Wyre Police said: “The theft of the money from the cash boxes happened at the public toilets that are near to the car park and the coast guard station in Knott End.

"We are asking for any information regarding this theft, maybe you have seen somebody hanging around the car park acting suspiciously or a vehicle parked up that you have never seen before.

“If you have any information regarding this theft please contact 101 and quote log reference number LC-20201113-0779.”
