It follows a number of reports to Fylde Police that drivers on the A583, near to Kirkham, are ‘failing to comply’ with a set of temporary traffic light signals and are “putting themselves, other motorists and pedestrians at risk” according to officers.

A spokesman for Fylde Police said: “ Lancashire Police are committed to improving road safety and over the coming weeks, local Fylde officers will be working in partnership without our Lancs Police Tac Ops teams and will be conducting a number of operations in this area to target drivers who take risks or drive without due care.

“Don’t take the risk, please drive safely.”
