No jail for court order breach dad

A dad-of-two who breached court orders to see his ex and children has avoided jail.

Daniel Hoskinson was arrested by police following a visit to his ex’s home in Blackpool.

Hoskinson, 30, formerly of The Promenade, South Shore, now living at Lancaster Road North, Preston, pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order and a restraining order and possessing cocaine.

Neil White, prosecuting, said Hoskinson had been put on a non-molestation order by Blackpool County Court in April which banned him from contacting his ex. In August he was sentenced to a two-year restraining order by Blackpool magistrates not to contact his ex.

On November 21 at 3pm Hoskinson turned up at his former girlfriend’s home. His ex told police: “I don’t know how he found me. I have had to move homes about four times.”

David Charnley, defending, told magistrates Hoskinson said his ex had been contacting him all the time.

Hoskinson was sentenced to 16 weeks’ prison suspended for 12 months, put on a three-month overnight curfew, given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £180 court charge.
