Masked knifeman steals 'quantity of cash' after threatening shop worker in 'shocking' Fleetwood robbery

A masked knifeman fled with a "quantity of cash" after demanding money from a shop worker in her 60s.

He launched his raid at the One Stop shop in Lindel Road, Fleetwood at around 9.30pm on Friday (February 19).

The man threatened to hurt his terrified victim if she did not open the till for him before making off from the scene with a quantity of cash.

A manhunt has now been launched and officers have released a picture of a man they would like to identify.

Det Con Cherie Hall, from Blackpool CID, said: "This was a shocking and worrying incident which left the victim very shaken.

"We know someone in the Fleetwood area will recognise this individual."

The robber was described as 5ft 8in tall and was wearing a royal blue North Face hooded top with distinctive red markings, black trousers, and black trainers.

His face was covered by a light coloured beanie hat with eye holes and a face mask. He was also wearing gloves.
