Manhunt over resort robbery

Police want to find Edwin Reid, of Buchanan Street, after a 23-year-old man was robbed in The Strand in October 2015.

Reid was charged with robbery but failed to appear at Preston Crown Court in April 2016.

It is believed he has travelled to Scotland and was last seen in the Glasgow area.

Reid is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, of slim build with brown hair.

Police are appealing for information and urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Det Con Jennie Speight, of Blackpool Police, said: “Reid has been wanted for some time now in connection with a robbery in Blackpool.

“Our enquiries suggest he is likely to be in the Scotland area, possibly Glasgow.

“If you have seen him or know where he is, please call police immediately.”
