Lancashire Police are on the hunt for three men after a man was slashed in the arm with a machete at a Blackpool pub.

Police and the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) rushed to an incident at the Corner House pub (Last Orders) on Sherbourne Road at around 10pm on Sunday night (February 16).

A 24-year-old man was slashed in the arm by the group and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

He was later taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 10pm on Sunday (February 16th) to a report of an altercation at the Corner House pub on Sherbourne Road, Blackpool.

"It is believed three men entered the pub with a machete and imitation firearm, following an earlier disagreement with a man, who was slashed to the arm.

"The man, 24, was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital to be treated. His injury was described as serious but not life threatening.

"No arrests have been made and an investigation is underway."

The NWAS said it mobilised an ambulance and two rapid response units after receiving "a number of emergency calls" at 9.59pm.

His injuries are described as "not life threatening and not major trauma".

NWAS said it was unable to comment further on the incident due to it being considered "a police matter".
