Man found dead in Blackpool street believed to have suffered 'medical episode'

The body of a man has been found in a Blackpool street this morning.

He was discovered on Cross Street in North Shore and police officers responded to calls shortly before 7.25am.

Forensic officers were spotted outside an address on the street later in the morning.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said the death is not believed to be suspicious

The spokesman said: "We were called at shortly before 7:25am this morning (Thursday, December 10th) to the report of a man being found on Cross Street, Blackpool.

"The man was sadly pronounced deceased. It is believed that the man suffered a medical episode and so his death is not believed to be suspicious."

A spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed they attended the incident and reported the death.
