Man faces historic sex abuse claims

A man accused of committing historical sex attacks on two girls aged under 14 in Blackpool has made his first appearance at court.

Paul Musto, 63, of Jeffrey Lane, Doncaster, faces one charge of rape, one charge of attempted rape and 11 charges of indecent assault.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between February 1974 and June 1982.

Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Musto was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on August 24 by District Judge Edward Barr sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

He must not have any contact with any child under 16 exempt for fleeting or inadvertent contact as a condition of his bail.
