Man charged after alleged 'dog attack' in North Shore

A man has been charged after his pet Rottweiler allegedly attacked another dog on Dickson Road in North Shore.

Police were called to reports of the alleged attack outside Del Girl's Emporium just after 2pm on Sunday March 25.

According to police a Jack Russell was injured and was taken to the vets.

The other dog, a Rottweiler, was secured by police and transported to kennels.

Steven Sproat, 35, of Richmond Road, Blackpool, has been charged with a breach of a criminal behaviour order and being the owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.

He is due to attend Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on July 2, 2018.
