Toby McCoy, 26, of Lightburne Avenue, St Annes, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a condition of his bail.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said McCoy had been bailed by police on the condition that he did not contact his former girlfriend or enter her home road of Canberra Way, Warton, and that any arrangements for contact with his son should be made through a solicitor.

On July 7, McCoy arranged for a friend to ring his ex to make arrangements so he could see his son the following day.

Jessica Partington, defending, said that when her client was in custody he had told the police sergeant he would not be able to afford organising contact with his child via a solicitor each time.

Blackpool magistrates agreed to rebail him and said arrangements for contact with his son could be made through a third party.
