The 22 year old, of Branstree Road in Mereside, is alleged to have carried out the attack on Sunday, June 19.
He indicated no plea when he appeared before the judge, Mr Justice Robin Knowles, this morning after being remanded in custody since his earlier hearing at Blackpool Magistrates Court last month.
A trial was listed for November 29, with a pre-trial hearing to take place on October 4.
