Lots of drugs, defective tyres and erratic driving: What Lancashire's Road Policing teams have been dealing with this week

A host of drug-drivers have been stopped by Lancashire’s road police officers this week.

Positive roadside tests for cannabis and cocaine have been found, as well as two people arrested for possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Police have also been busy with check point stops for vehicles, which have uncovered defects including bald tyres and unsafe seat belts.

The driver of this Prius brought attention to himself after cutting up a motorist entering the road works on the M55 where he ran out of lane. An officer said: "Turns out he wasn’t insured and had no MOT. Driver reported and vehicle seized. Instant Karma."
