Lancashire Police issue a CCTV appeal after a serious assault on Dickson Road, Blackpool in September

Lancashire Police have shared an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Blackpool.

The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered serious facial injuries and needed surgery after he was assaulted on Dickson Road at around 5am on Sunday, September 11.

Lancashire Police say they now need to speak to the man in the images as they believe he may be able to help with their ongoing investigation. Police would also like to speak to the women in the images as they believe they may have witnessed the assault.

DC Kelly Sadler, of West CID, said: “We would like to stress that the women in these images are very much being treated as witnesses and we believe they could have some vital information which may help. I would urge them to contact us as soon as possible”
