Jilted ex followed woman her work

A woman was stalked by her former partner who would follow her as she drove to work or went to a supermarket.

Sean Edwards, 44, also sent e-mails, text messages and phoned the woman - all actions which put him in breach of a restraining order imposed by Blackpool Magistrates after he assaulted her.

Edwards, of Albany Avenue, South Shore, admitted four offences of breaching the order and a breach of a conditional discharge.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said the couple had split up after a five year relationship.

The prosecutor said Edwards used the fact he wanted property from her home as an excuse for contacting her when he had signed an agreement that he would only do so via her father.

Edwards was made the subject of a 12 months community order, ordered to pay £100 compensation to his victim, fined £75 and must pay £160 court costs.

The restraining order was extended for a further year.
