Increase in rural crime reports on Fylde coast as police ask for greater vigilence

Reports of rural crime are continuing to rise as the nights draw in according to Fylde Police.

One of the crimes noted as increasing is hare coursing and police want residents to help report incidents they may see.

PCSO Lauren Vallely of Fylde Police said: “As the winter starts to draw in, we are receiving more and more reports of rural crime such as hare coursing taking place over the Fylde Coast.

“We are dedicated to dealing with rural crime an encourage members of the public to report this. If it’s not reported, we don’t know about it.

“If there’s a crime in progress, please call 999 . If you wish to report a previous incident, please do this by calling 101 or via the online report on the Lancashire Police website.”
