'˜Four men' in taxi stole Chevrolet

Four men in a taxi are suspected of stealing a black Chevrolet Aveo from Levens Grove, off Grasmere Road in central Blackpool.

The quartet were caught on CCTV climbing out of a cab shortly before the car – which was running low on fuel – was stolen between 4.20am and 4.40am on Saturday, police said.

“Two targeted the car and two stayed on the look-out,” the car’s owner said.

Officers are not investigating the theft, which was reported at around 9.30am after it was discovered missing, and have appealed for the public’s help in tracing the four men.
