Fleetwood trio accused of slashing man outside chippy

Three people have appeared in court over allegations they were involved in slashing a man in an attack outside a chip shop in Fleetwood.

Police rushed to Lord Street following reports of a "disturbance" outside the Eating Plaice chippy at around 3.30pm on Saturday, October 3.

Jonathan Smith, 29, was found with a wound to the face - reportedly caused by a knife - and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Steven Fuller, 42, of Balmoral Terrace, Fleetwood, denies section 18 wounding with intent and possessing a Stanley knife but admitted a lesser charge of wounding,

Michael Chambers, 25, of Windsor Terrace, Fleetwood, and Helen Chambers, 52, of London Street, Fleetwood, both deny section 18 wounding with intent.

Judge Philip Parry fixed a trial date for April 19, 2021.
