The first incident occurred when an offender entered a property in Fleetwood and assaulted a man aged in his 30s on August 9. The victim wasn't injured, according to police.

On August 30, three weeks after the first attack, an offender entered the same address and assaulted the man for a second time, causing bruising.

Two days later, on September 1, an offender entered the flat again and assaulted the same victim with "metal bats", resulting in the man having to undergo surgery.

Officers would now like to speak to Craig Johnston, 32, in connection with the attacks and for a threatening phone call he reportedly made on September 12.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Craig Johnston, 32, who was last living in Fleetwood, is wanted in connection with three incidents of serious assault and making a threatening phone call."

"We would now like to trace him and are asking anybody who has seen him or who has information about where he may be to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
