Fire at home in Blackpool of 'suspicious origin'

Police attended a house fire in St Heliers Road after firefighters deemed it was of 'suspicious origin'.

Three fire engines from Blackpool and South Shore rushed to the scene at around 5.30am yesterday (April 6).

Firefighters equipped with four breathing apparatus used three hose reels to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported, but police attended the incident "due to the fire being of suspicious origin".

Fire crews were at the scene for approximately two hours.
