Drugs seized and arrests made after car is stopped by police in Fleetwood

Drugs have been seized and arrests made after a car was stopped by police in Fleetwood last night (Wednesday, April 7).

Police have posted a picture of the drugs seized after officers stopped and searched a car under the Misuse of Drugs Act at around 10pm.

Bags of cannabis and cocaine were found stashed inside the vehicle, along with packets of sweets-flavoured synthetic cannabinoids and a mobile phone.

Police said "arrests have been made", but have not yet provided details.

Lancashire Police has been approached for more information.

A police spokesman said: "Officers from #WDTEAM2 at Fleetwood have this evening stopped a vehicle in the local area and following a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a number of packages have been recovered which are suspected to contain a large amount of class A and class B drugs.

"Arrests have been made and further enquiries being progressed."
