A drink driver who was seen "weaving on the road" in Blackpool was caught three times over the limit when they were stopped by police on the M61.

A member of the public reported a suspected drink driver who was "weaving on the road" in Blackpool.

Police later stopped the car on the M61 where the driver of the vehicle provided a roadside test of "over 100" - three times the legal limit.

Officers have now praised the person who reported the driver on a social media post posted at 2.10pm today (April 30).

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said on Twitter: "Thanks for the info which has helped prevent a serious collision."
