Driver assaulted by passenger on rail replacement bus

The driver of a rail replacement bus was kicked in the legs as he dropped passengers off in Blackpool.

Police have released CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with the assault which happened on February 11 outside Blackpool North station.The incident happened at around 5.50pm as the rail replacement service was arriving from Preston.The offender was standing at the bottom of the coach steps before the doors were released.The coach driver asked the man to step back so that he could open the doors. The coach driver then stood in front of the man to open the doors, at which point the offender kicked the driver in the back of the legs.The victim fell into the man. Once off the coach, the offender grabbed the coach driver and assaulted him.
