Hide AdMartine Connah, prosecuting, said police saw Richardson driving a Corsa on Dinmore Avenue on July 31 at 4.30pm. Officers described his driving as erratic and said he was speeding.
When stopped, he said he had had three pints of lager. A breath test showed 40 micrograms of alcohol in his body – 35 is the limit.
Steven Townley, defending, told magistrates Richardson, who had been to the pub and then to pick up his daughter, said he was surprised he was over the limit.
