CCTV appeal over resort assault

Police are looking to speak to three men after a man was robbed in Blackpool and left with a broken jaw.

The incident happened as the man was making his way home from a night out.

The 51-year-old victim was outside The Card Room on Egerton Square when he was attacked by a group of men between 12mmidnight and 12.30am on Sunday June 5.

He was knocked to the ground, leaving him unconscious before his mobile phone, cash, card and keys were stolen.

The victim suffered a broken jaw which required surgery.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with information that could help them identify the three men pictured.

DC Caroline Hopton of Blackpool CID said: “This was a nasty attack on the victim who was making his way home after enjoying a night out with friends. We would like to speak to the three men pictured in connection with our on-going enquiries into this robbery and I would urge anyone who recognises them to get in touch with us.

“Similarly, if anyone was in the area at the time of the robbery and saw what happened then please do contact us as soon as possible.”
