Brothers face host of charges

A man has been accused of kidnapping another man and, along with his brother, maliciously wounding the victim.

Weslie Nobbs, 28, of Stronsay Place, Bispham, is accused of kidnapping a man at Blackpool on October 13 last year.

Weslie and his brother, Lee Nobbs, 32, of Ashfield Road, Bispham, are both accused of maliciously wounding the man with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm as part of the same incident. Weslie is also charged with possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply the drugs.

Lee is also charged with possession of heroin.

Adrian Hollamby, prosecuting, asked for the case to go to crown court.

The brothers were bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 22 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
