Blackpool woman suffers life-threatening injuries after falling from block of flats

Police say a woman in her 40s has suffered life-threatening injuries after 'falling' from a block of flats in Blackpool.

Emergency services were called to the semi-detached block of flats in Lytham Road after the woman reportedly fell from a third-storey window on Monday evening (April 20).

The woman, aged in her 40s, was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment after the fall at around 7.45pm.

She remains in hospital where her condition is now described as 'serious but stable'.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 7.45pm on Monday to Lytham Road, Blackpool, to reports of serious injury.

"We attended and found a woman, aged in her 40s, had fallen from a third storey window of a block of flats.

"The woman was taken to hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries.

"Her condition is no longer deemed to be life threatening, but she remains in hospital in a ‘serious but stable’ condition.

"There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances involved."
