Blackpool man suffers serious facial injuries after being mauled by his own dog

The man was bitten by his dog at a home in Thyme Close, a cul-de-sac off Moor Park Avenue, at 3pm yesterday (Thursday, March 4).
An air ambulance was mobilised and landed in fields behind Moor Park Primary School, with paramedics seen rushing to help the injured man inside a detached home nearby.

Hide AdPolice described the man's injuries as "nasty" and said the man had been bitten by his own dog, but declined to provide further details.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital by road ambulance for emergency treatment.
An ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to an incident at an address in Thyme Close, Blackpool at 3.03pm yesterday afternoon.
"We mobilised an emergency ambulance and air ambulance to the scene and a patient has been taken to hospital by road."
