Hollingmode is further alleged to have stolen £90 of takings from another cab driver in Blackpool on December 17 last year.

Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, said the case must be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer, Brett Chappell, who did not apply for bail for Hollingmode, said his client had indicated he would plead not guilty to the offences.

Hollingmode was remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 4 by Blackpool magistrates.
