Blackpool man arrested for attempted murder after man stabbed during funeral service at Carleton Crematorium

Police were called to reports a man in his 40s had been stabbed while he attended a funeral service at Carleton Crematorium at around 1.45pm this afternoon (Thursday, April 30).
The victim suffered stab wounds to his chest and shoulder and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he's said to be in a stable condition.

Hide AdOfficers have confirmed a 37-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called at around 1:45pm this afternoon to the report of an incident at Carleton Crematorium in Poulton.
"A man in his forties had been stabbed to the chest and shoulder by another man at a funeral service.
"A 37-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody."
