A man has reportedly been spotted in the sea by eyewitness and coastguard crews have been seen searching the area near South Pier in Blackpool.

Blackpool lifeboats, coastguard crews and helicopters have been spotted searching the water near South Pier in Blackpool at around 4.49pm today (March 2).
Eyewitnesses at the scene have reported a man in the sea.
It is not yet known how the man got into the water.
Helicopters have been circling the area and lifeboat crews have been deployed.
RNLI and HM Coastguard have been approached for comment.
Lancashire Police have also been approached for comment.
