Arrested men bailed after armed fight breaks out on Fleetwood car park
Seven men arrested on suspicion of public order offences have been released on bail, police say.
Men armed with weapons, including baseball bats and machetes, reportedly started a fight in The Esplanade car park at around 8.05pm on Monday, April 12.
The group then made off from the scene in two vehicles as officers arrived.
Three men aged 25, 28 and 41, two men aged 23 and a 22-year-old man, as well as a teenage boy, all from Fleetwood, were arrested on suspicion of public order offences on April 14 following a "number of enquiries".
Lancashire Police has now confirmed "they have all been bailed to May 12."
Det Insp Abi Finch-Hall, of Blackpool Police, said in a statement that "incidents of this nature are rare", but they understand this will have "caused some concern in parts of the community."
"You should expect to see a substantial police presence in the area in the coming days while our enquiries continue," she added.
Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected], quoting log number 1539 of April 12.
